Went to Red Bud mass. Leo & All & Gertie came & we all went to Paulters free dance; nice crowd. Rythm [sic] Kings Orch. Walter Monike has 10½ lb. baby boy, Gertie is working there.

Cleaned. Rained a little, warm & cloudy. We got a electric lamp from J. Keller for Christmas bucket style. We got an invitation for Is. Helfrichs birthday dance at Floraville at Kern’s tonite, also is V. Cortner’s. Advent is over, dances start again, Oak Grove has one, give $1. for attendance price every hr. tonite. Pautler’s has double birthday dance tomorrow nite all free. Uncle Fred & Aunt Mary were here for dinner, he went to Waterloo & to Red Bud this afternoon. Played cards.

We washed, ironed, went to election, Uncle Fred & Aunt Mary were up, going to butcher tomorrow here. Rose went quilting at Wagners & supper there. The fruit man was around. Eggs are 30¢ now. Burdgorf looked at the heifers, didn’t buy yet. Roosevelt & Horner are reelected; by big majority. There is a election return dance at Pautlers & Odd fellows Hall tonite free. Mrs. Vera Boo Republican circuit clerk was elected; against Schemeir Democrat candidate. The radio stations were on air all nite.

Mission Sun. Uncle Fred & Aunt Mary were here awhile. Omer brought 2 fish here this afternoon & boy we had fish fry, sure were good, couldn’t eat it all. People from South of Red Bud looked at the heifers. E. Rieso & W. Mueth have birthday dance at Pautlers. The Hecker bank was sold at Public Auction in Waterloo, Court House last Sat. Yesterday Ed. Weber bought the building $500. Articles that was in it & safe Burkhardt of Red Bud got for $35.00 & 80 acres farm. Wolf real estate agent got $1300 & 40 acres Weber $800.

We washed, ironed; Baked. Geo. Boll got his disk. A fellow here selling electric Singer sewing machines. Emil Schilling’s wife stopped in last nite on there way to St. Louis, they were at Pautlers at Evansville, come to see Omer. Lena Meng got some flower slips. We had a little shower rain this afternoon.

Pap went to Waterloo. Vic Eichenseer brought a $53. radio here for us to try out. We went to free dance at Paulters, nice crowd. Papa went to Louis Armstutz’s & paid for lime dust. $13.

Uncle Fred & Aunt Mary stopped awhile after mass. There 38th wedding Anniv. The Hecker Catholic church pinic [sic] cleared $800. & Red Bud on ice cream social $300. all pretty good. We went to Pautlers to Al. Einwich birthday dance, Rythmn [sic] Kings Gents 25 ladies free, had pretty nice crowd. Alvis Roth had a collision, coming out of the Douglas road & didn’t stop, got knocked of machine a total wreck.

Uncle Fred & Aunt Mary had lunch here, went home came back again this afternoon went to the pinic [sic], Evangical [sic] church; pinic [sic] Floraville Band in afternoon & Schmidt at nite. We had a watermelon eating this evening then all went to the pinic [sic], had large crowd. Mr. Fred Kern of Waterloo had accident in Hecker at Mertz store, car coming from the south, both were damaged a little, but nobody hurt. There is a free birthday dance at Pautler & wedding dance at Dreamland.

Uncle Fred & Aunt Mary were here had chicken dinner. Holy Name Conference in Hecker, in school hall this afternoon. We took chances on quilt at Red Bud to be raffled; took 3 of them. A free double birthday dance at Pautler tonite, Rythm [sic] Knig [sic] playing. Wasther [unclear] Leaugue [sic] Convention at Red Bud today. Rained a little shower.
