There sure was a pretty rainbow in the west this morning.  Wilma Birkner was here & brought a pattern.  We had a nice shower rain this afternoon.  I seen in the paper Red Finnerty died, he was the mail carrier at Burksville.  It was a pretty lucky day last Sun, for the Hecker Baseball Teams, Athen’s & the fist [sic] team played 3 to 4 in favor or Hecker, the second team played Round Prarie [sic], 3 to 1 in favor of Hecker.  There where 2 young chickens killed on the hard road today.
